On Sunday, January 24th at the St. Petka Church, we celebrated the first Serbian Archbishop, St. Sava. After the Holy Liturgy and the breaking of the slava bread, a beautiful and rich program was presented in our church’s hall. All the children from Sunday School were participating, as well as a couple of kids who just started attending.
The kumovi (hosts) of this year's celebration were Borislav Kojic and Aleksandra Panic. They prepared, with their parents' help, a beautiful supper for all the people that came. This is something that we'll continue to do in the future. There is nothing more delightful to God and to St. Sava than our children worshipping them through their prayers and songs.
Next year, the hosts of the celebration are going to be Rade Laganin and Nikolina Vranjes.
